This is a story I wrote for my Home Learning last week (11th May 2020). I hope you enjoy it.
I also drew a picture of Rosie the Very Fast Cheetah.
Once upon a time, there was a cheetah called Rosie and she liked resting and playing tag. She was a very kind and helpful cheetah. She also liked chasing her prey. What Rosie disliked was vegetables and fruits. She was special because when she ran she was so fast that you could not see her. She was an excellent chaser.
Rosie lived in a very mystical jungle. When she ran she could see tall long trees, green grass and moss. However, the place had a magical scent of tropical flowers and she could also smell the deep damp moss of the jungle which bought a tricky atmosphere. This was reinforced by the sound of tweeting birds and the croaking of the enormous frogs.
The atmosphere was scary and, at the same, magical.
But one day as Rosie was running she was caught by a net. She was entangled so badly that she could not get out.
The evil lion came and said “You can’t get out!” and turned his back.
She tried calling her friends but they didn’t hear a thing. But then a white parrot came along and said, “What’s your problem?”
“I can’t get out!” replied Rosie.
“Try using your claws!” said the parrot
“Ok,” said Rosie. So she did it as best as she could and she was finally able to get out.
Thanks to the help and support of the parrot, Rosie regained her confidence and managed to get out. This is a fantastic lesson as it shows that when you have the support you need, you can achieve anything.

Well done Lily x
I love this story. You have beautifully described how the jungle looks and smells. I think it’s clever how you describe that Rosie doesn’t like fruit and vegetables, like most other cat creatures. The story shows that there are bad people like the evil lion, but there are more good ones. The parrot appears to be bad-tempered at first, by saying ‘What’s your problem’ and actually he is really kind and supportive. It also shows that first impressions of people, or parrots, might not always be right. Very well done.
Beautiful story Lily !! I enjoy it ! ☺️
